Inspiration & Tips

Looking for inspiration or tips on writing and the writer's life, this page provides a number of resources that can be helpful.

Every successful writer has another writer that inspired them as they pursued their journey to a writing  career. In an essay in the New York Times, the great Colombian writer Gabriel Garcia Marquez reflects on how much Ernest Hemingway meant to him. Early in his career, he was walking on a street in Paris one day. He looked over to the other side of the street and saw Ernest Hemingway with his wife. Unable to think of what to say or do, he simply called out, "Maestro." Hemingway turned and acknowledged Garcia Marquez with  ''Adiooos, amigo!''
