Live and In Person

  • Looking for a local game to join, check your area comic and game stores that sell RPGs. They frequently host games for all levels of play.
  • Try searching D&D Store and Event Locator for your area.
  • Check out a ComicCon, FantasyCon, WizardCon, etc., in your area. These conventions are typically held in major metropolitan areas at county or city convention centers. They often have gaming rooms and RPG events sponsored by local game shops.
  • MeetUp is an online locator service where you can find D&D groups and games in your area.
  • Check your local library. Libraries often host RPG groups for players of all ages and levels.

Social Media

Facebook, Twitter, Reddit and other social media resources are excellent for connecting with other players, following campaigns, and discussing D&D and other RPGs. You can connect with local players and games as well as following the official sites for the RPGs.

Play Online

Use Roll20 Looking For Group app to find games online. The app provides tools to limit and filter your search by keywords, content, and groups that welcome new players.

Discord is an all-in-one voice and text chat service for gamers. The service hosts numerous D&D servers for anyone with a Discord account. You can search for D&D servers through Disboard, an app linking Discord servers and people. D&D sessions are played remotely in Discord.
