Music had a powerful influence on the Sixties generation (1954-1975). In this section, the technology, the behind-the-scenes folks, the pioneers and the influences, the innovations, the performers and the music are covered in a variety of historical lists. All artists, songs and albums appearing on the lists in this section have been verified by a second and possibly a third source for the accuracy of the listing. Below is a list of the sources used.
